FieldTypeDescription
Use actual clock-in time|Use corrected clock-in time|Use later of actual or corrected timeRadio-Set

If a job-in registration is made at the same time as a clock-in registration (often because it is an auto-job-in registration) the following settings specify how the job-in's corrected registration time is to be determined.

"Use actual clock-in time": The job-in's corrected time will be the actual registration time of the clock-in.

"Use corrected clock-in time": The job-in's corrected time will be the corrected registration time of the clock-in.

"Use later of actual or corrected time": If the clock-in's corrected registration time is later than its actual registration time, then the job-in's corrected registration time will become the corrected registration time of the clock-in; if that isn't the case the job-in's corrected registration time will just become equal to its actual registration time.

Select how a clock-in related job-in's corrected registration time is to be determined at clock-in

Date formatCombo-Box

This option is used in combination with the "Date separator" option to specify how dates are to be displayed throughout ProMark.
Long and short versions of ISO, European and American date formats can be chosen; in the long versions the year is shown as a 4-digit figure while it is a 2-digit figure in the short versions.

Select the date format that is to be used throughout ProMark

Date separatorCombo-Box

This option is used in combination with the "Date format" option to specify how dates are to be displayed throughout ProMark.
You can choose not to make use of a separator, or to use a slash, hyphen or period as the separator between the date's elements.

Select what character is used (if any) to separate the year, month and day figures in a date

Time unitCombo-Box

Time-of-day figures can be based on either of the units "Hours and minutes" or "Hours and centihours".
If the unit "Hours and minutes" is used, then the time 23:45 is displayed and entered like that (with or without the ":" depending on the "Clock" option).
If the unit is "Hours and centihours", then the time 23:45 is displayed and entered using centihours instead of minutes like 23.75 (with or without the "." depending on the "Clock" option).

Select the unit to be used throughout ProMark when time-of-day figures are entered or displayed

Show weekday nameToggle-Box

If the date in a registration time figure is normally displayed as 2020-07-22 selecting this option will cause the date to instead be displayed as We-07-22. Please note: the day name is always displayed first regardless of the underlying date format.

Select this option to have the year in registration times replaced with the|abbreviated weekday name on certain transaction screens and reports

Max. change timeFill-In

Specifies the maximum number of hours/minutes time may be changed ahead on a terminal using the "Change time" key.

If for instance the maximum is set to 8:00 hours and the time right now is 10:00, then using the "Change time" key to set the registration time to a value between 10:00 - 18:00 results in the next registration being made at the specified time on or AFTER 10:00 today. Setting the time to any other value (for instance 19:00) results in the next registration being made at the specified time BEFORE 10:00 today, which could then be on the day before.

Specifies the maximum hours/minutes time may be changed ahead on a terminal

Identify employeeCombo-Box

When initiating a terminal dialog at a non-personal terminal an employee must be identified by the employee number, a card number or either of those. The desired method must be selected here.

Specifies how an employee is to be identified at a registration terminal

Optional profile usedCombo-Box

If "No" is selected it means that optional profiles are not used (even if configured).
If "Only on the day" is selected, ProMark will only apply a selection profile that is associated with "today" in the attendance profile.
If "All" is selected, ProMark will apply selection profiles that may be associated with "today", "yesterday" and "tomorrow" in the attendance profile.

ClockCombo-Box

Specifies if time-of-day figures are shown with or without seconds and if a separator is used between the individual elements of the time-of-day figure.
If the option "Time unit" is set to "Hours and minutes" then there are 60 minutes to an hour and 60 seconds to a minute; the separator is a colon.
If the option "Time unit" is set to "Hours and centihours" then there are 100 minutes (centihours) to an hour and 36 seconds to a minute (centihour); the separator is a period.

Select the clock (time-of-day) format used throughout ProMark

Time durationCombo-Box

How time duration figures are displayed and validated by default is controlled via this option (not those options concerning time-of-day figures).
The selection list shows the available options where the most commonly used choices would be H:MM, H.CC, HMM or HCC.

Specifies how time duration figures are displayed throughout ProMark

Time intervalCombo-Box

This option is relevant in situations where a time-of-day figure is to be understood relative to a given date or in connection with time intervals that may overlap at midnight.

Choosing "Old format with minus time" means that a time-of-day figure is shown as a negative value if it is actually during the previous date; it is shown as a figure >= 24:00 if it is actually during the subsequent date. For example, if the given date is today:
"-01:43 - 6:54" means from 22:17 yesterday to 6:54 today.
"22:17 - 30:54" means from 22:17 today to 6:54 tomorrow.

Choosing "New format with > and <" means that a time-of-day figure is prefixed with a < if it is actually during the previous date; it is prefixed with a > if it is actually during the subsequent date. For example, if the given date is today:
"<22:17 - 6:54" means from 22:17 yesterday to 6:54 today.
"22:17 - >6:54" means from 22:17 today to 6:54 tomorrow.

Specifies here what method you want used to display "extended" time-of-day|figures (see context help for examples)

Use actual clock-out time|Use corrected clock-out time|Use earlier of actual or corrected timeRadio-Set

If a job-out registration is made at the same time as a clock-out registration (because it is an auto job-out registration) the following settings specify how the job-out's corrected registration time is to be determined.

"Use actual clock-out time": The job-out's corrected time will be the actual registration time of the clock-out.

"Use corrected clock-out time": The job-out's corrected time will be the corrected registration time of the clock-out.

"Use earlier of actual or corrected time": If the clock-out's corrected registration time is earlier than its actual registration time, then the job-out's corrected registration time will become the corrected registration time of the clock-out; if that isn't the case the job-out's corrected registration time will just become equal to its actual registration time.

Select how an auto job-out's corrected registration time is to be determined

Show secondsToggle-Box

If your employees make registrations using real-time platforms (such as terminal dialogs) it is recommended that this option is selected even though the seconds-part of the time doesn't affect the payroll.

Select this option to request that registration time is always displayed with seconds on|certain transaction screens regardless of the general time-of-day format

Max. work timeFill-In

Used to prevent a pair of clock-in/out registrations from spanning more than 24 hours. A fairly high value should be specified (for instance 18 hours), high enough to allow for extreme work situations, but low enough to prevent most incorrect clock-out registrations - for instance, those caused by the employee having forgotten to clock-out the day before and then just doing it "today" without entering the actual time where the clock-out should have been registered.

Please note: Work day hours are not validated if this field isn't filled-in.

Relative job changes to host|Add/del job trans. to host|Send all add/del job trans. to hostRadio-Set

Choosing "Relative job changes to host" means that time or number changes are reported in one host transaction reflecting the difference between new and the old value.

Choosing "Add/del job trans. to host" works mostly like "Relative job changes to host", but other changes than value changes are also reported. If field-61 (Original transaction identifier) is important to your host system, then this option should be used rather than the former.

Choosing "Send all add/del job trans. to host" means that changes are reported using two host transactions: one mostly with the original content except that field-30 is set to "Yes" to indicate deletion, and another with the new content where field-30 is set to "No" indicating that it is the new content.

Specifies how changes to job registrations must be communicated to the host system

Use corrected time for absence intervalsToggle-Box

Select this option to request that absence intervals in all standard absence transactions are reported to the host based on the corrected time associated with the employee's registrations. Do not select this option if the absence intervals should correspond to the time that was actually accounted as absence.

Determines how absence intervals are reported in host transactions

Use same field for time, days and piecesToggle-Box

The standard behavior in connection with payroll and absence transactions (PAYD, PAYP, ABSD and ABSP) is to report postings on accounts where the unit is "Hours" in a transaction field named "Time" while reporting postings on accounts where the unit is "Days" or "Pieces" in a transaction field named "Number".

Selecting this option causes "Days" and "Pieces" postings to be converted to a time figure that is then reported in the "Time" field.

Select this option if postings made as time, days or pieces must be |reported in the same field in payroll or absence host transactions

Create daily payroll transactionsToggle-Box

Select this option if the date in the periodical absence |host transactions (ABSP) must be the profile date

Absence KPI figures are based on clock-in/out reason accountsToggle-Box

The default is that absence KPI figures related to clock-in-late and clock-out-early registrations are calculated based on the reason's "Time change to" option. Selecting the option ensures that postings made on the reason's associated account is used instead.

NOTE: The option has no impact on absence KPI figures related to actual absence registrations.

Select if absence KPI figures must be based on actual postings in connection |with clock-in-late and clock-out-early registrations
